Update on the boys

The Brand Inspector visited the WHOAS site and examined the horses for any visible brands or identifying tattoos. None were found. Acting on this and under the Stray Animal Act, the three horses have been impounded by the LIS. They will remain in WHOAS’ care until they go to public auction on November 3 at the Olds Auction Mart. During this time the LIS will advertise to see whether anyone comes forward to claim them. The RCMP Livestock Investigation Services is also looking into why these horses were abandoned or who may have dumped them off in the forestry.

Again this so unfortunate that beautiful animals like this have been subjected to this cruelty. We truly hope that whoever becomes their new owner will provide them with a safe and good life. We would like to thank everyone for their interest and concern and offers to help.
